Curator: Phil Taggart
Art Drop Off: Monday May 3rd, 4-7 pm and Tuesday May 4th, 9am - Noon

The show explores all forms of marginalization whether in self, family or society. The creative impulse has often been used in the face of madness, despair and chaos, to make sense of it, to make sense through art. Creativity is idealized while mental illness is demonized, yet the same energy can fuel either. This show is an exploration of extreme states of being in the world.

Show Dates: May 8th thru June 13th
Opening Reception: Saturday, May 8th 6pm to 8pm

Desire urges us on deeper
and farther into the coral maze
of the body, dense, tropical
where we cannot tell plant
from animal, mind from body,
prey from predator, swaying
magenta, teal, green-golden
anemones wide open…
- from “Wet” by Marge Piercy
