Desire urges us on deeper
and farther into the coral maze
of the body, dense, tropical
where we cannot tell plant
from animal, mind from body,
prey from predator, swaying
magenta, teal, green-golden
anemones wide open…

Poerty inspired by the Inauguration of Barack Obama

Colleen Cason from the Ventura County Star wrote an article about poetry and the inauguration. She interviewed Joyce LaMers and Phil Taggart. She included part of our Obama poems and an excerpt from a Ferlinghetti poem. She also invited folks to put their inauguration poems and comments in the comment blog spot.

VC Reporter Reviews 'Better Than Chocolate' Poetry Reading

News from Phil Taggert

There was a lovely review of the annual erotic reading, Better than Chocolate, in this weeks issue of the VC Reporter. The reading is a benefit for the Artists’ Union Gallery and co-inhabits the erotic show that’s still in exhibition there.
